Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is just around the corner, meaning it is almost time to dive into a brand new map.

Here is everything we know about the new season so far, from when it will start to new features.

When does Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 start?

Epic Games – the creator of Fortnite – announced that Chapter 4 Season 1 will end on Wednesday 8 March – a few days earlier than originally planned.

There will be a short amount of downtime before the new season goes live on Friday, 10 March. An exact time is yet to be confirmed. No live event has been announced.

In the UK, new seasons typically go live in the early afternoon.

What should we expect from the new season?

Epic tends to keep details about new seasons tightly under wraps, so the majority of Season 2 will be a surprise for players.

However, a few exciting details have leaked, included the likely theme for the map.

The setting is expected to be a futuristic, neo-Tokyo theme – a big change from the castles and open green spaces players have been exploring in Season 1.

Futuristic motorbikes are expected to be placed around the map, while Lucky Landing is also set to return.

Regarding skins, it is heavily rumoured that there will be a collaboration with the Attack on Titan anime this season, including a secret skin of main character Eren Yeager. There are also rumours of Titan-based weaponry and emotes.

Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield from Resident Evil are also rumoured to be purchasable skins, which makes sense given the Resident Evil 4 remake being released at the end of the month. There are also rumours of more Star Wars skins.

Finally, there are reports there will be new “legendary” augments in Season 2, that reboot you when you die, increase your max shield, or give you siphon.
